Buying The Right Top Level Domain (TLD): Case Study

I have always been curious how Google and other major search engines treat top level domains. For those of you who are new to purchasing domains, a top level domain TLD is simply the last extension you see at the end of a domain name, such as .com, .net, .org, .me, .co, et cetera.
